Jane Powertwin Review

The Jane Powertwin pushchairs are amongst some of the most versatile and eye catching strollers on the market today. Designed in a way that enables lots of colour matching Jane Powertwin Review there is a Powertwin setup to suit every discerning mum who wants their Jane Powertwin to be different than the rest.

The Powertwin is ideal for both street and off-road adventures. The inclusion of spring suspension and big inflateable tyres make it both very easy to push over bumpy terrain and also very comfortable for baby.

It has been around for a few years now and like most pushchairs it has had its problems. However, the makers have been listening to feedback from mums and have managed to finally fix most of the more common issues.

Detailed Jane Powertwin Review

When I first looked at getting a new pushchair there were just so many to choose from. I was steered in the direction of the Jane Powertwin after initially seeing a mum use it at our local park. At first it looked easy to move around and didn't seem to shake and rattle when moved over bumpier ground.

After a quick chat with the mum who did explain that it she did have a minor niggles. For example the raincover didn't fit properly but the shop did offer a better fitting replacement, at no extra charge.

Firstly, the name 'Jane' is Spannish and as such is pernounced 'Hannah'. They do have a number of twin type strollers in their range and from what I know, they are equally as good as the Powertwin.

Ride and Comfort
I can't really speak for my babies but all I can say is that the design has everything a pushchair should have in order to make the babies comfort as good as possible. It comes with nice big soft wheels and a suspension that keeps things even smoother. This is ideal for when you are in and around town and moving the pushchair up and down off pavements. The only issue when moving it around town is that with a single wheel at the front it can be a little unstable 'on landing' from the kerb. However, the single wheel does make it easy to manoeuvre when in shops and around people. And equally as important for comfort when you take it to the park and using it on non-concrete trails. Overall I'd give it a 7/10 for ride and comfort.

Design & Useability
The design where one seat is behind the other is so much better than the earlier side-by-side designs which take up so much room on pavements etc. The Jane Powertwin is designed to allow the back seat to lay flat is you want to use it for younger babies. And the front seat has 2 position setting to allow for babies from 6 months. This attention to detail is to be commended and sometime when one of the twins wants to snooze while the other is still active then the rear flat rear seat is a blessing.

The ability to use 1 or 2 Strata car seats on the pushchair is another added bonus. I bought these with the Powertwin and the ease at which I can take them out of teh car and lock them into place without disturbing the babies is a big plus in my opinion.

The only drawback is the front plate, which although has been improved is still not sufficient to stop toddlers feet from accidentally connecting with the front wheel if their foot slips off. Overall I'd give the design a 8/10.

Cost & Value for Money
There are so many pushchairs around this price range, which also makes it very competitive, which in turns means you can pick one up at a good price. You can get one for around £360 for the basic version and pay up to £580+ for the Jane Powertwin + 2 Strata Car Seats. Lots of online shops also offer FREE Delivery so make sure and take that into account when buying one as some shops can charge up to £15 for delivery. Overall a 7/10.

Jane Powertwin Review Summary
For me the Jane Powertwin ticked a lot of boxes and has been a very loyal servant to my twins for over 12 months now. I have recommended it to friends and family and for the most part they have also been happy with theirs too. Ultimately, it all comes down to comfort and safety of my twins and the Powertwin handles both those attributes quite easily. Highly recommended with an overall average of 7/10.
